Mary Benton ~ Vice President - Education, Health & Community Concerns



Greetings! I am honored to serve you as Vice President of Health, Education and Community Concerns for the 12th District PTA. I will represent you at the meetings of agencies and organizations in Ventura County whose goals are aligned with that of PTA. The Workforce Investment Board of Ventura County Youth Council and the Ventura County Student Attendance Review Board are but two of the agencies I will be working with to keep you abreast of concerns affecting our communities. The physical and mental health of our youth is of paramount concern. I will be working with the Ventura County Department of Environmental Services to bring programs into our schools to help insure the physical health of each of our students. Helping parents and guardians of students with disabilities navigate the educational system is an area in which relevant workshops will be facilitated. I will also be involved in other areas of concern such as safety, substance abuse, juvenile justice and bilingual resources.

Whether it is in the home, school or community, the PTA is there to serve the needs of each and every child in the 12th District and their families. Thank you for allowing me the privilege to serve you.
