My name is Laura Ann Hawk-Loya and I will be serving you as the Vice President of Programs for the next year. Our programs are for the benefit of every person in Ventura County and we hope you will all take advantage of them.

On October 9th at 2pm, we will be having an Art In The Park rally at our Camarillo offices. Please join us in showing that we support arts education in our schools. Keep your eye out for the upcoming flyer with all the details.

In the fall, all PTA schools in the county will be able to participate in the annual Reflections program. The 2010-2011 theme is "Together We Can..." Your School's Reflections coordinator will have the entry forms and rules shortly after school starts. 12th District has always been well represented at the state and national level. We will have an awards and gallery show at the Ventura County Office of Education on January 12th for the 12th District top entries.

In February, we celebrate Founder's Day. Come join our party at the Ventura County Office of Education. We will also be honoring our 12th District Honorary Service Award winners that evening.

The final event of the year for programs is the 112th Annual California State PTA Convention. It will be April 28th - May 1st in Long Beach. This year, 12th District is one of the local hosts so we would like as many people to attend as possible! Registration booklets will be available in December.
